#TeamPenske announced today that Greg Erwin would not return as Crew Chief of the #22 Penske Ford Mustang for 2016. Instead, one its own highly regarded engineers, Brian Wilson, has been promoted. Erwin, who guided the team to 3 consecutive XFINITY series Owners’ Championships through 2015, has been named Team Manager of Team Penske’s NXS program.
Wilson has worked for Penske as race engineer for both the #22 NXS and #2 Miller Light Ford Fusion Sprint Cup series teams since 2004. Wilson served that role while driver Brad Keselowski captured championships in both the NXS (2010) and SCS (2012) seasons.
